How to pray with confidence!!
We are encouraged over and over in the word to pray.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Without ceasing means continues, not limited to time, place or day. We should maintain a constant prayer relationship with God. Prayer is communicating with God. We should be constantly in a dialogue with our father: physically, spiritually and emotionally.
Proverbs 3:6, encourages us to acknowledge God in all our ways. Which means “all” not limited to a particular space, time, season, etc…
When we do so He will direct our paths. If we are in continual communication with our Heavenly Father He will direct every aspect of our life. We will be able to take Him into our reality. I can worship Him in my car, while cooking, sleeping etc..
God is spirit so we can take Him into every part of our reality.
When we pray about a situation it is very important for us to pray the word of God concerning that situation. When you pray the word, you pray the “Will” of God Concerning that matter. You are not limited to your own understanding; based on what you are aware of but you pray life through the scripture.
This have boost our confidence knowing that I am praying God’s breath into that situation according to :
2 Timothy 3:16–17
New International Version
16 All Scripture is God-breathed(A) and is useful for teaching,(B) rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,(C) 17 so that the servant of God[a](D) may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(E)
The enemy knows the word, however for you to use those words against Him shuts him up completely and rebukes him out of your situation.
My mentor and I spoke about using empty words when encouraging someone vs. using the word of God.
The word according to Hebrews 4:12 ESV
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Jesus Himself used the word when the enemy attacked Him after fasting 40 days and nights. Ref Matthew 4:1–11 .
The word is enough and powerful. It is living and is our sword to attack the enemy.
When I pray the word it boost my confidence knowing I can’t go wrong praying God’s breath. I cannot go wrong by speaking prophecy over my life.
It gives my confidence to know that I’m praying the “Will” of God.
I am not intimidated by the enemy because the word is sharper then any two-edge sword; nothing that it encounters should survive if evil .
When the enemy atracks get your sword “ The word”. Stand in confidence-because you are using the right weapon for the right task.
You are also shooting the arrows in the right places and not blindly. When we pray we release attack in the camp of the enemy, hence why it is essential for us to pray Gods word so it’s not a hit or miss. Moreover, the spirit of God will lead us to the exact scripture if we yield to Him.
We attack from a place of victory when we speak Gods word to every situation, proclaiming his “truth concerning that situation.
In conclusion, go into your prayer closet with the scriptures concerning a matter and pray them. Submit to the Holy Spirit and let Him give you the exact scripture ( aka weapon ) for that situation. I will be posting on “The right weapon soon”. Be blessed.
