Prayer point: Deliverance from oppression, racism and injustice.

Scripture : Exodus 6:6

“Therefore, say to the children of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will free you from their bondage. I will redeem and rescue you with an outstretched (vigorous, powerful) arm and with great acts of judgment [against Egypt].”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who redeemed you and brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I am disgusted and heartbroken by the murder of George Floyd and so many others that lives have been taken over the years. The sad truth is some of them we never heard of the injustice that was quietly swept under the rug.

I’m grateful for all the peaceful protest that have taken place, even though I’m not a fan of the looting. We don’t have to use violence to prove a point.

Know that the anger exhibited today have been brewed for decades and while people felt powerless. The fear, rage and anguish been waged is to say “Enough”!!

If nothing else been quarantined for the last few months have given us a taste of what it feels like to be powerless and for something to be completely out of our control.

We speak out to say, we are more alert, vigilant and fully aware and frustrated with the injustice that have continually happened in various ways.

In the midst of it all, understand that in as much as we blacks are frustrated and even our fellow White families and friends as well the outburst of this frustration is been exhibited in different ways. Please do not force the next person to process their frustration in the same manner you do.

What matters is that we speak up!

I wanted to encourage us all that all the anger and frustration we all feel the Lord feels it, see it and knows it all. If anyone have endured injustice Jesus has more then anyone of us have and He is doing a new thing. Revival is coming and will break forth in the midst of this all.

The Lord have allowed all of this to happen to bring freedom and redemption in our land. I’ve been uneasy in my spirit but whenever I feel that way I just pray because God is the one who can indeed set us free in every situation. Some of us haven’t said much not because we want to be silent but we understand that words are very powerful and when you speak you are either speaking life or death.

There is no amount of hurt you feel that the Lord doesn’t feel with you today. The injustice that we’ve all allowed and not seen for so long and at times we enjoyed the little bit given to us and are satisfied with it is what have lead things this far.

The grace of God have been preserving us all these years. The children of Israel, though delivered physically from their slave masters and oppressors took a long time to walk in freedom.

Comfort have kept us silent on many occasions, complacency have kept most of us content because it’s better then before but it’s still not total freedom.

The Lord who revealed this injustice will bring us into total freedom by moving the heart of every leader in power to bring justice.

God is allowing this like Pharaoh’s hand was forced to “let Gods people go”.

The Lord is in control and with all the protesting going on God is also shifting things to give us the freedom that is due to us.

We are not longer slaves, and we shall walk in total freedom.

The Lord will finish the good work He has started However, we have to also be delivered from the slavery mindset.

We have to submit to the Almighty God for Him to completely break off the yoke of bondage over our family, our generation and the world as a whole.

Slavery can be manifested in various ways physically-

Being oppressed by your slave master physically “

Or

“Passively like we have been experiencing today in our world”.

MENTAL MANIFESTATION :

Slavery is also manifested mentally where we find ourselves walking in the shadows because of fear, which is not our fault but it’s due to trauma.

We manifest these bondages by succumbing to whoever till we make it to the top( that’s if we do) which usually comes with paying a prize of selling our soul.

When we find ourselves in this state it’s the power of God that can break the yoke from over us.

TaKing The Easy But Dangerous Way Out:

Slavery also takes place in a form of bondage against ourselves and family.

Due to us feeling like we amount to nothing we act out and find other ways to “make it in life”.

Let’s say these ways are not legal and result in putting a stigma on us.

Oppressing others :

Another way we manifest bondages is by oppressing others who are like us instead of empowering, loving, and pushing our fellow brothers to make it to the top. We therefore, pretend we are helping them and then we give them just enough, to keep them where they need to be so that they can keep coming back to us when in-need, this form is very much in our African community and in Africa. The truth is this is what the Oppressors do to us (African-American) but yet we exhibit the same characteristics on our fellow people.

In Africa we have our fellow people sleeping outside in a swamp of mosquito 🦟 in the name of watching us for our safety(a gate man, maid).

We have maids all over our house that are been treated in a very ill manner.

Those that a wealthy or affluent are employing the less fortunate(barely paying them) when they could do better. At times these people wear rags while taking care and rendering services to their masters. As a matter of fact they call them “master”.

We scream today we want Justice I totally want this justice for us to but this justice have to take place with us as well.

I end saying let’s continue to protest peacefully and speak up as much as possible but know that you don’t have to do it violently because everyone is listening, if they are not then they are blind. Most importantly God is moving, shifting and changing things on our behalf like He did for the children of Israel.

The Lord love you too much to allow you to suffer without Him doing anything. So many of us have excelled because the Lord have favored us. This is favor happening on our behalf accross the globe right now.

I’m telling you let the Lord fight for you. Rest assured that He will never allow things to remain the same.

The shift is happening continue to pray and lift up our nation and our world. He’s doing a new thing today and forever more.

This new decade is never going to be the same. You lives are been shifted. We ask for mercy on our part and pray that God set us free and that we set others free as well!!
